Day by day
Day 1: Arrival
Your adventure begins the moment you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A friendly representative from Kiwoito Africa Safaris will be there to greet you, offering a genuine ‘Karibu Tanzania’ (Welcome to Tanzania!). From the airport, a comfortable private transfer will take you to your tranquil accommodations at Forest Hill. Nestled in a peaceful setting, this is the perfect place to unwind after your flight, settle in, and prepare for the incredible safari journey that lies ahead. You’ll have time to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and anticipate the thrilling days to come.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast, your professional safari guide will meet you, and the real safari experience begins. We will head to Tarangire National Park, a place famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees that dot the landscape. The journey itself is a scenic introduction to the Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival, you will spend the afternoon on a captivating game drive, searching for lions, leopards, and an astonishing variety of birds. Tarangire’s permanent water source, the Tarangire River, attracts a great concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season, making for exceptional game viewing. In the evening, you will settle into the beautiful Baghayo Garden Suites, a comfortable and serene retreat just outside the park.

Day 3-5: Serengeti National Park
The next three days are dedicated to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. We will travel across the vast plains, a journey that offers its own unique sightings along the way. The Serengeti is an ecosystem of immense proportions, home to the Great Migration and an incredible number of predators. Your time here will be spent on extended game drives, tracking prides of lions, cheetahs on the hunt, and the elusive leopard. The park’s diverse landscapes, from the savanna to the kopjes (rocky outcrops), provide a stunning backdrop for all your wildlife encounters. Each evening, you will return to the rustic elegance of Conserve Safari Camp, where you can relax by the fire, share stories of the day, and enjoy the sounds of the African bush under a star-filled sky.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Today, we will make our way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called Africa’s Eden. The morning will be spent with a final game drive in the Serengeti before we make our way to the crater rim. After descending 600 meters to the crater floor, you will find yourself in one of the most densely populated wildlife areas on Earth. The crater is home to the Big Five and a vast array of other animals, all coexisting in this breathtaking natural amphitheater. Your day on the crater floor will be filled with incredible sightings and unforgettable photographic opportunities. As the sun begins to set, we will ascend the crater and drive to Marera Valley Lodge, a peaceful and welcoming lodge that offers a well-deserved rest.

Day 7-8: Lake Manyara, Cultural Insights, and Farewell
On our final full day, we head to Lake Manyara. This beautiful park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and a large population of flamingos that often create a vibrant pink spectacle on the lake’s edge. Your game drive will take you through diverse habitats, from acacia woodlands to the a vast soda lake, providing a fitting final chapter to your safari. Afterward, we will make our way back to Arusha. Here, you will have the chance to participate in some local activities, such as a visit to a coffee plantation or a local market, offering a final taste of Tanzanian culture. After a farewell dinner, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your evening flight home, carrying with you a lifetime of memories from your private safari with Kiwoito Africa Safaris.
